This topic is Top Priority for THP Marketplace vendors!

Since “Real World” commercial revivals are not yet stocked for purchases, test transactions are limited. It is not yet clear which steps will be performed by PayPal and which by the eCommerce system (OpenCart).

I must consult the Marketplace designer for advice on this topic… Stay tuned!

In the meantime, do you recommend that THP Partners without PayPal accounts set one up?

If possible, all payments will be handled by super-secure Paypal. This is a good thing because it keeps THP’s costs at a minimum—more “take-home pay” for all concerned:

1) No need for “https” server. Paypal takes over instantly when the checkout button is clicked.
2) Paypal handles credit card processing (I’d rather NOT be responsible for this kind of info!).
3) Automatic currency conversion and every possible extra ‘way beyond THP’s means.

The alternative is old-fashioned monthly checks (about as insecure as it gets!).

You can test the setup here—add something to the shopping cart, then click the cart link and “checkout.”

Don’t worry, the Paypal plug-in is in “sandbox” mode and the system will not allow you to log in to your account.

So yes please! If you don’t have a Paypal account, how do you manage without one <LOL!>? By all means, open one—here’s how:

P.S. A draft of a topic with complete Paypal info is on my l-o-n-g To-Do List…
