Herman Ihlenburg designed, cut and patented the caps of Pencraft# in 1885 for the MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan TF of Philadelphia.
Specimens including lower case and swash caps were shown in the MSJ catalog the same year.
Busy THP Partner Robert Donona has undertaken the challenge of preserving this free-form beauty for typographers of the future.
I have completed my revival of Pencraft with alternates and initials:
